GOLD-PLATED STAINLESS STEEL

Most bungalowBLONDE gold-plated designs are made with a durable stainless-steel base finished in a layer of gold.

Stainless steel is strong, lightweight and resistant to everyday tarnishing. Many of these pieces are water-resistant or waterproof. Please refer to the individual product description for the designation of your specific piece.

Gold-plated jewelry is not solid gold, and its finish may naturally soften or fade over time depending on wear, exposure and individual skin chemistry.

GOLD-FILLED

Gold-filled jewelry features a substantial layer of genuine gold permanently bonded to a base metal using heat and pressure. By industry standard, gold-filled material contains at least 5% gold by total weight.

It is more durable than traditional gold plating and offers the look and feel of solid gold at a more accessible price.

GOLD-PLATED STERLING SILVER

Select designs feature a .925 sterling-silver base finished with gold, pairing the beauty of a precious metal with a warm golden glow.

A little thoughtful care helps preserve their golden finish. If your pieces get wet briefly, gently pat them dry. For lasting beauty, remove before showering, swimming or exercising, and avoid direct contact with perfume, lotions and household cleaners.

Sterling silver is a relatively soft precious metal, so delicate designs may bend under pressure. Handle gently when putting on or removing your jewelry, avoid squeezing or repeatedly bending it, and store each piece where it won’t be compressed.

After wearing, gently wipe with a soft, non-abrasive cloth and store separately in a dry pouch or jewelry box. Avoid silver polish, abrasive polishing cloths and harsh jewelry cleaners, which can wear away the gold layer.

The gold finish may gradually fade with wear, while the sterling silver beneath can naturally tarnish. Gentle care helps keep your pieces looking their best.
